Soil failure simulation with ripper’s equipment
Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The paper deals with the analysis of the soil failure by the ripper’s cutting element. The design model of a ripper’s cutting element and the soil interaction considered as the system consisting of a reduced mass and an elastic link with reduced rigidity as well as the conventional soil strength has been developed and analyzed in the paper. The authors have studied the problems of the rate identification at the stage of cutting element penetration into the soil enabling to determine the impact of the operating element rigidity both on soil strength and cutting rate vibrations. The cutting force at the initial period of interaction between an operating mechanism and the soil, and motion velocity of a separation moment of the next cutting element have been also determined; after which the second completely analyzed stage of motion has started. The further consideration of the formulated problem has enabled to make some suggestions of operational equipment rigidity determined by hydraulic cylinder stiffness which, in turn, has made possible to study the impact of a hydraulic system on interaction of operational equipment and the soil.

Organizational backing of municipal housing property development
Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The paper deals with the problem of formation and effective operation of organizational development of municipal housing property: by housing affiliation to the primary human wants; competition stepping up in the domestic market in the sphere of the housing property between transactor units of various possessions and management, by transitive character of domestic economy conducting change-over to the contemporary market principles and by the permanent economic depression in the civil engineering industry.
Keywords: municipal housing property, institutional surroundings, organizational structure.

On taking into consideration the heterogeneity of concrete properties in the volume of large-sized vertical bar elements
Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. Proceeding from the study of the heterogeneity of the properties of concrete in large-sized elements a hypothesis has been made about the distribution of concrete properties within a single layer of the volume. Suggested as well as experimentally substantiated was the minimum size of a prism sawn out from large-sized elements in order to experimentally determine the σ – ε relationship in separate volumes of large-sized concrete elements. On the basis of a number of assumptions an approach to solving the problem of determining quantitative values of strength and strain properties of concrete in the volume of a large-sized element has been proposed.
Keywords: large-sized elements, the heterogeneity of concrete properties.

Chimney joints behaviour research
Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The paper deals with the technique of the research of sections of chimneys with local stress. The preparatory, adjustment and alignment work stages have been presented stepwise. The principal stages have been the planning of the full-scale experiment, constructing and manufacturing of models, choosing and placing of instruments, preparing and equipping models for the experiment, making the test load, loading models and reading data, the analyzing of experimental results. The distinguishing feature of the research is the accordance analysis of the produced models to the designed models. The result of the analysis is carrying out of a three-dimensional model of test patterns. The solid models need to be used for the registration opportunities of the design scheme imperfection and the experiment reliability provision. The tacheometry with an electronic tachymeter has been made to obtain the three-dimensional models. The series of the refined coefficients have been received at the experimental data processing. The coefficients are necessary for the design techniques having developed under the numerical studies.

Plants with independent joining of heating systems and hot-water supply systems via three-contour heat exchangers and selection of their optimum parameters
Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The paper has characterized the plants for central heating supply of the cities with the independent joining of the users’ systems of heating and hot-water supply. The advantages of the independent connecting of the local systems to the heating supply networks providing reliability and quality of heating supply protecting users’ leads-in from destruction at emergency have been determined. Water losses are established to be decreased in local heating and hot-water supply systems and protect them from defrosting at pipework pumps shut-down. The joining up of high-rise buildings to the heating supply networks because of the filling up of the system and providing with static pressure on the upper floors enables only in the independent systems. A number of advantages of the independent systems has been determined even in heat supply open systems where the water to the hot-water supply is not contaminated in a heating system that promotes its quality and colourfulness. The application of heating and storage plants with three-contour heat exchangers at the individual points has been determined to solve the problem of independent joining of users’ systems of heating and hot-water supply systems and provide a hydraulic mode in buildings of various number of storeys. The design technique enables to optimize heating and storage plants and increase the heat mass exchanging efficacy.

Impact assessment of shaft deformation on settlement efforts value in horizontal cross-section of 100 metre high chimney
Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The settlement efforts results in the shaft ring cross-sections and displacements on a vertical of a longitudinal axis of a 100 metre high chimney against the wind load effect with regard to the structural weight have been presented. The design forces comparison obtained by the engineering technique of the Temporary Building Codes-286-72 and the Finite Elementary Analyses by the software engineering «Lira» has been done. The designs have been done with regard to the pulsating component of a wind load in accordance to the standards of the Building Codes and Regulations 2.01.07-84 and State Building Codes B.1.2-2:2006. The shaft pivotal design model has been examined in view of deformed and nondeformed settlement scheme. The additional efforts due to the horizontal shaft displacement under the action of wind and foundation heeling have been determined by the method of successive approximations in accordance to the standard of the Temporary Building Codes 286-72, as well as by the stepping and iterative method of the solution of nonlinear problems made by the software engineering «Lira». The analysis of the obtained findings has testified that analyses made by the Temporary Building Codes 286-72 and the Finite Elementary Analyses methods with similar analytical models have convergence within 2 %. The registration of the horizontal displacements of a longitudinal axis of a shaft gives rise of bending moments in shaft ring cross-sections to 5 – 12 % in comparison with analysis on the nondeformed settlement scheme.

Numerical simulation of pollutant dispersion in ground layer of multi5storey housing area
Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The most efficient method at the pollution investigation of the development or housing area is computer numerical simulation. The worked out numerical algorithm and software enable to analyze its vortex development scheme on the development area geometrical parameters, to analyze the vector velocity field of the wind flow in different sections, to determine the displacement track of the pollutants from their sources in the unsteady condition on time, to analyze the pollutants diffusion on their displacement track, to determine the pollutants concentration on the territory of the closed housing area, to form the lines of equal concentration in various sections, to obtain information in a type or scale suitable for application. The numerical simulation of pollutants dispersion carried by the air flow to determine the effect of protective screens of various forms to decrease yard spaces pollution has been made in the paper. Some pieces of advice on the pollution decrease in residential areas of the closed multi-storey housing at the designing stage within the actually existing development area have been worked out.
